Katie is a third-year Animal Science student at Cal Poly and has been working as a Veterinary Assistant at Stenner Creek since March 2024. She hopes to graduate from Cal Poly and go directly to veterinary school to become a small animal veterinarian.
Katie grew up in San Diego caring for pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, and tortoises. However, it wasn’t until she got her first dog, Sammy, in high school that she realized her passion for animals. In her free time, Katie enjoys long runs, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends. While working at Stenner Creek, she aims to improve her client communication skills and learn new ways to better help all the patients she interacts with.
