Mariah is a third year animal science major at Cal Poly on the pre-vet track. Her journey began here at Stenner Creek Animal Hospital in April of 2024 as a veterinary assistant. Growing up in the Central Valley, she was always around animals. Whether it was showing boer goats for FFA, volunteering at shelters, or working internships through her high school with veterinary clinics. These opportunities to be around and care for animals in any way only helped her realized more that animal medicine is her passion. She aims to help those who don’t have the ability to ask for help themselves. After she graduates, she hopes to continue this path by attending veterinary school where she will earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Her future aspirations are to one day own her own mobile clinic where she can help animals all over the state. Whenever she is not at the clinic, Mariah enjoys playing guitar, going to the beach, boba runs, and going back home to visit her pets.
