Lindsey

Lindsey’s experience includes growing up on a cow-calf operation, being a 4-H member for ten years and raising large animals which contributed to her passion for animal care. She received her associates degree from cuesta college and transferred to California Polytechnical Institute where she was honored to obtain her Bachelors of Science degree under Dairy Science with an emphasis in animal husbandry and Pre-veterinary track. While attending she worked alongside Dr. Mark O’Reilly since she started as a volunteer in 2013. During her time at Cal-Poly she gained two externship opportunities at world renowned equine hospitals, Hargyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky and Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital in Ireland. After graduation of California Polytechnical Institute she was granted an opportunity to travel with a Bovine Embryologist for a 6mon internship that expanded to over 15 months traveling to Oregon, Arizona, Washington and Hawaii. In coming back to her home town, she has found herself wanting to inspire future graduates to achieve student success. During her path in both industry and higher education, she has acted under the confidence that successful leadership can only be reached in an environment of shared diversity, collaboration, and industry connections as well as collective focus in achieving excellence. Lindsey’s future aspirations are become a sales representative in the animal health industry. Outside of work Lindsey’s favorite activities are riding horses, roping, showing affection to her dogs and cats.
