AJ is currently a third-year animal science Cal Poly student and has been on his new journey on staff for only a month. His role at the clinic as a Veterinary Assistant is to assist Doctor O’Reilly and other veterinary assistants in any way possible. He grew up attending zoos and animal reserves, which sparked his love for animals. Through his experiences in Future Farmers of America and working on farms, he sought after a profession that would allow him to work both in medicine, and with animals hands-on every day. He is currently pursuing this dream both within the classroom and in the clinic. After completing a master’s program, he hopes to continue his dreams at veterinary school to one day become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
