Sam is a second year Biological Sciences student on the Pre-Vet track at Cal Poly and has been working as a Veterinary Assistant at Stenner Creek since late spring 2024. She has always loved animals and had a
passion for animal welfare and well-being. Growing up surrounded by animals in her own home and those of her family and friends including dogs, cats, chickens, horses, cows, tortoises and more only solidified and nurtured her love for animals. She finds herself happiest around her pets and around animals in general. When she isn’t in class, studying, or at work, Sam loves spending her free time with her pets, her
family, line dancing, off-roading, camping, reading, or doing something outdoors. She loves learning new things and does so every day at Stenner Creek. Sam always knew she wanted to live her life working in
the field of medicine and has found that mixing her love of medicine and animals to create a life for herself as a veterinarian is the perfect way to go. She is thoroughly enjoying her time at Stenner Creek
and looks forward to more animal experiences that lie ahead for her and all she will learn here and at school along the way. She hopes to earn a B.S. in Biological sciences at Cal Poly and further her education in vet school to then become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine working with large and small animals.
